Progress on v1.0


Hello!

I wanted to give a small update on this project since it's been a while! I'm still hard at work towards version 1.0, but it's a massive undertaking and I'm largely working on it alone since I'm the one mainly responsible for graphic design, art, and additional writing for our projects and we really don't have the budget to hire anyone to help. And having started up with art school this year, as well as trying to work on new projects with August as we go, alongside taking commissions to make ends meet,my time to dedicate to it is limited.

But that aside, I'm still super excited to make Glamour the best it can be! I'll be writing a longer overview of my plans for members over at my ko-fi soon, but largely here's what still needs to be done before v1.0 is complete:

  • Layout - probably the heftiest chunk of work is laying all the text out in a nicely presented and understandable way, with graphs and tables to reference easily. Lots of graphic design work.
  • Character sheets - this is conceptually a bit tricky with how characters work, but printable character sheets are something I'd still like to design before v1.0 release.
  • Play examples & playbook guides - play examples to clarify some rules, as well as playbook guides that clarify some moves and help with theming the playbooks.
  • Director guide & player principles - advice on how to play and run the game.
  • Art - I'm going with a mixed-media feel with this, with graphics design and illustration mixed throughout.
  • Darkest Self - we have a plan to change how Darkest Self works somewhat, in regards to playing through it yourself.
  • Additional writing - there's going to be some short fiction snippets included so if you read the book closely, you can explore the story of a group of youths.
  • More playbooks - we aim to be the first FitD game with 100+ playbook options /j
